Virtual Production at Murray HilI Studios

The COVID-19 pandemic revolutionized television production, forcing an overnight shift to remote or "virtual" technologies. Physical distancing made traditional on-site production difficult, leading to the widespread use of platforms like Skype, Zoom, WebEx, StreamYard, and Vmix – just to name a few! Talent and crew could now contribute from their home or office, reducing the need for on-site presence. This decentralized approach minimized studio crew requirements, improved efficiency, cut travel costs, and lowered carbon footprints. Recent technological advancements have enabled even more ease and efficiency – as well as higher quality – in these workflows and techniques. A “Virtual Roundtable Discussion,” is an example of this format where we integrate multiple talent/presenters from locations all of the world, to create a professional, graphics-rich event.
